The North Coast Labour Council invites candidates in the upcoming municipal elections to submit an application for consideration of an endorsement by the council.

The deadline for the first round of consideration is June 10, 2022. At our meeting on June 23, 2022 we will discuss whether or not to consider another round sooner to the election.

The North Coast Labour Council provides a common voice for over 1,000 union members in the North Coast Regional District.

Our work is conducted in Ts’msyen and Haida territories – in solidarity with the peoples of the Ts’msyen, Haida, Nisga’a, Haisla, Gitxsan, Heiltsuk, Wet’suwet’en, Tlingit, and other First Nations.

Delegates from local union affiliates serve on the North Coast Labour Council and work together for the benefit of all communities in the North Coast Regional District.

We are also the local organization of the Canadian Labour Congress, which represents 3.2 million unionized workers across Canada.
